OREANDA-NEWS. A ceremony to open a pig complex "Dmitrievka" was held in Blagovarsk district of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Vnesheconombank Deputy Chairman Anatoly Ballo took part in the ceremony.

The project is being carried out as part of implementing the Government Program to Develop Agricultural Products, Primary Products and Foodstuffs for 2013-2020.

A credit agreement was signed in 2012. The agreement provided for Vnesheconombank to extend a credit worth 4, 993 million rubles to LLC Bashkir Meat Company to fund the project on the construction of a high-technology, closed cycle pig complex with a capacity of 42 thousand tons of pork with the use of pedigree animals and equipment to be supplied by such world leading producers as DanBred International and Big Dutchman. The total value of the project is 6,435 million rubles.

The Bashkir Government provides the project with the state's support.  The project's implementation would contribute to a sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex and Russia's agricultural areas as well as to meeting growing needs of Bashkir people and people from adjacent regions for meat products.
