OREANDA-NEWS. September 02, 2013. Ukrainian and Russian parties have completed work on an international agreement to resume serial production of An-124 Ruslan plane, presently technical details of this document are being coordinated. Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko announced during International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2013.

He emphasized signing of the agreement was planned for September-October of the current year in the course of a sitting of the Committee on economic cooperation of Ukraine-Russia Interstate Commission.

“We hope before the sitting of the Committee held by Prime Ministers of our countries this agreement will be ready to be inked,” Yuriy Boyko said.

The Vice Premier stressed issues of resuming An-124 production appeared significant for Ukrainian aviation industry and economics of Ukraine in whole.

“We will have a huge market and have an opportunity to create so many An-124 planes that it will become economically attractive. It will give impetus not only for an enterprise-producer, but for the whole circle of enterprises involved into this program. It is essential for us – these are workplaces and economic movement ahead,” Yuriy Boyko considers.

Moreover, he expressed hopes the joint with the Russian party program on production of An-70 plane would be resumed.

“We have seen today how An-70 takes off and behaves in the air. It is really a perfect picture and really a perfect aircraft. That’s why we hope we will resume the program on An-70,” the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine emphasized.
