OREANDA-NEWS. September 02, 2013. “From now there has been solved one of the key problems of Illichivsk – the town of 70-thousand residents has been provided with stable water supply. There have been built a pumping station and a water reservoir for 10 thousand cubic meters.

The installed new equipment increases the quality of service for the population, ensures minimal water losses while pumping and decreases electricity use by 60% (that’s UAH 317 thousand per year). These funds will be directed by the enterprise for further modernization of objects of local water canal,” the Vice Prime Minister Olexandr Vilkul said during the process of putting in operation of the object.

Before putting in operation of the new system there had been working the central pumping station in the town which had been built 40 years ago. It supplied with water only one part of the town, while there had been created temporary pumping station to provide with water another part of the town. So, the new pumping station will have two water reservoirs and will provide the whole town with uninterrupted centralized water supply.

There have been installed 5 pumping aggregates, 3 out of which are functioning and two more are reserve. All of them are equipped with Wilo-CR (Germany) control systems to maintain automated regulation of pumping units.

Besides, maximal water losses at the new station make up 0.5% and correspond to European standards.
