OREANDA-NEWS. September 02, 2013. According to the regions, secondary schools and preschool educational institutions ready for the new school year. The state of readiness for the heating season is already 98%. By September 1, it must be 100%.

"Housing and communal services is the most problematic sector. Investments and time are needed for its modernization. We objectively understand what a difficult situation in the industry. Therefore, we focus on the most problematic issues. The government tightly controls the execution of tasks by regions on timely preparation for the new heating season," vice Prime Minister Olexandr Vilkul said at off-side meeting of the board of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services in Odesa.

Currently, the state of preparation for winter of the facilities of the communal and housing services is 87%.

Vice Prime Minister said that only if there will be signed by the relevant inspectorates 'passports of readiness' a house is considered as ready for winter. "By October 1, all residential buildings in Ukraine have to get passports of readiness," Olexandr Vilkul said.

He noted that in general preparing for winter is carried out most rapidly in Mykolaiv (93%), Volyn (91%) and Zhitomir (91%) regions.

"An important part of the modernization of housing and communal services is cooperation with international organizations to get financial and technical assistance. 264 such projects are being implemented in Ukraine. They focused on the reconstruction of housing and communal services, improvement of quality of water supply, development of local governments and energy efficiency. In particular, the project "Urban Infrastructure" worth USD 140 million is being implemented together with the World Bank," Olexandr Vilkul said.

Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv regions are most active regarding involvement of international financial and technical assistance.
