OREANDA-NEWS. August 30, 2013. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against) Primorie Regional Office of Rosrybolovstvo, “Taifun” Ltd. and “Aquaresource-DV” Ltd. upon signs of violating the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” (Article 16).

FAS suspects that in 2012 Primorie Regional Office of Rosrybolovstvo and the two companies concluded an anticompetitive agreement to ensure that certain suppliers are pronounced the auction winners and to restrict the number of bidders at the auctions for quotas for crab catching in the Far East.

“FAS pays considerable attention to observing competitive principles in catching biological water resources in the Far East”, explained the Head of FAS Anti-Cartel Department, Andrey Tenischev.
