Belarus Interested in Joint Production of Harvesters with Ukraine
OREANDA-NEWS. August 29, 2013. With an aim to consider possibilities of development of trade and economic relations of Kherson region and regions of the Republic of Belarus an official delegation of representatives of the Government of Belarus attended the region.
In the frames of the visit the head of regional state administration Mykola Kostyak met with first deputy Minister of Industry of Belarus Ivan Demydovych.
The meeting was also attended by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Belarus to Ukraine Valentyn Velychko, Consulate-General of Belarus in Odessa Valentyn Phylypchik.
The main topic for the discussion was organization of joint production of SKIF-330 Polissya grain harvester on the base of Kherson machine-building plant.
Consulate-General of Belarus in Odessa Valentyn Phylypchik stressed that it was very significant the current cooperation between Ukraine and Belarus. The top mark can be given to the region, as “Belarusians give preference to all products from Kherson region: both vegetables and fruits”.
A landmark fact was also that the meeting was attended not only by government’s officials but leaders of Belarusian enterprises. In particular, Gomsilmash director Olexandr Kamko emphasized there was no similar potential to Kherson machine-building plant in Ukraine, so they were interested to participate in the joint production process.
In the end of the event the delegation attended Kherson machine-building plant to tackle in details issues of joint production of the grain harvester with leaders of the plant.
