OREANDA-NEWS. August 28, 2013. There will be festivities on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of starting commercial development of oil fields in Tatarstan and the 60th anniversary of Almetyevsk and Day of the Oil and Gas Industry Workers in Almetyevsk (Republic of Tatarstan) on August 31.

Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the heads of ministries and departments, heads of municipal districts of the oil region are going to attend the anniversary celebration events.

An extensive program of festive events will include a parade of the foremost workers representing TATNEFT Group of Companies: producing and service companies, petrochemical companies, employees of the petroleum products retail sales chains, etc. The celebration will include a colorful stage show at the city Maidan (recreation area) with participation of the best music and dance groups of the oil region.

The celebration will be continued by equestrian competitions at the horse racetrack and a musical performance featuring well-known artistes of the Russian and Tatar stage.
