OREANDA-NEWS. August 28, 2013. For 7 months of 2013 wood-based panels’ production in Ukraine has decreased by 2.3% to 808 thousand m3 year on year, in July 2013, it was produced 111 thousand m3 of wood-based panels, which is less by 8.1% than a month previously, as State Statistics Service of Ukraine (Ukrstat) said in the statement.

Lumber production for the period increased by 4.7% to 856 thousand m3 year-on-year. In July 2013, it was produced 128 thousand m3 of lumber, which is less by 0.5% than in June.

In January-July 2013, plywood production amounted to 102 thousand m3, which is more by 5.4% than the year before. In July, it was produced 15.2 thousand m3 of plywood, which is more by 5.5% than in June 2013.

In January-July 2013, corrugated paperboard production increased by 2.3% to 189 million m2 year-on-year. In July, the index of products segment amounted to 29.9 million m2, which is more by 8.5% than in June 2013.

For 7 months of 2013, the production of paper for printing and writing decreased by 29.7% to 8.3 thousand tons year-on-year. In July, it was produced 0.9 thousand tons of paper for printing and writing, which is less by 2 times than a month earlier.

In January-July 2013, in general, the index of industrial production in the field of wood processing and pulp and paper industry increased by 3.6% year-on-year.
