OREANDA-NEWS. On august 27 of 2013 the International Aviation and Space salon MAKS-2013 started its program. Delegates from Moscow Domodedovo Airport are taking part in this most important industry event. It's the largest aircraft exhibition in East Europe and a platform for discussions concerning perspectives of aviation development in Russia .

Organizers of MAKS-2013 expect more than 1000 experts in the field of aviation market from all over the world - representatives of government institutions and industry-specific companies.

The experts, involved in discussion events of the International Aviation and Space salon, will discuss issues of the most immediate interest: forecasts of growth in aviation operations, status and prospects of airfield infrastructure development, problems in air traffic management, involvement of aviation carriage in complex transport infrastructure of the country and of the world. This and many other questions will be discussed by experts within a framework of the conference "Moscow "Aerotropolis" - prospects for development", organized by Moscow City Transport Agency.

Experts from Moscow Airport Domodedovo will present the project of Aerotropolis which will be built in the coming decades around the airport. So far, Domodedovo is the only airport in the Moscow aviation hub that possesses vast territory reserves, enough to build 9 independent runways. The air hub which has such an airfield infrastructure able to become not only a regional center of aviation industry development but also can affect significantly the economy of the country.

Experts have estimated the conference programme "Moscow "Aerotropolis" as highly topical and noted the need for such discussion platforms for sharing experiences and updating of vital issues. Specialists of Moscow Domodedovo Airport do not disregard such industry forums that facilitate the development of Russian aviation.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport - is the largest one of Russia, in 2012 the airport served 28,2 million people. It joins the category of the largest airports in Europe on the classification of the Airports Council International (ACI) and on results of 2012 became one of three European airports with the highest dynamic development. Since 2009 it is ranked as the best airport in Eastern Europe by Skytrax. Domodedovo is chosen for flights by member airlines of two largest global airline alliances - Star Alliance and oneworld.
