OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company effected an insurance payment to the St. Petersburg branch of a large Russian bank in the amount of RUB 11 m. The payment compensated for the bank's damage inflicted as a result of cash theft from ATMs in St. Petersburg.

ATMs were insured against explosions, terrorist acts, natural emergencies, fire, flood, malicious third-party activities and other actual risks. Malefactors broke into ATMs and stole cash. The thefts resulted in the initiation of criminal cases.

Experts of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company studied the circumstances of two thefts and both cases were recognized as insured against. The bank was compensated for the damage to the full extent.
