OREANDA-NEWS. August 26, 2013. “Establishment of modern energy complex will accelerate the development of real economy and main industrial sectors,” the President stressed.

In the course of his speech at the meeting on the occasion of the Day of Miner in Donetsk, the President emphasized the necessity of modernizing coal sector.

“The ultimate purpose of the given process is to establish a branch of new economic quality through introduction of modern technologies of production and management as well as modern standards of work safety,” the President said.

The Head of State noted that it was the part of a great plan on diversification of energy sources, reduction of dependence on foreign supply of energy and introduction of energy-saving technologies.

According to him, certain measures on increasing consumption of coal in domestic market have already been taken. “Thus, we are creating market conditions for the development of coal sector,” Viktor Yanukovych said.
