CIS Comments Customs Complications between Ukraine & RF
OREANDA-NEWS. August 26, 2013. CIS Executive Committee is ready to assist in regulation of customs complications which occurred between Ukraine and Russia. An official letter sent by the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States reads.
The Executive Committee well realizes the concern of Ukraine about the facts of intensifying the control over traditional Ukrainian export. Unilateral introduction of customs restrictions violates the Agreement on creating free trade area between the CIS states.
The official document confirms that issues of customs administration in the process of crossing goods among the countries-participants of the present Agreement on free trade area in CIS is regulated by Article 17 of the Agreement and envisages that solving formalities joined with import and export shall be carried out exceptionally pursuant to the WTO regulations.
CIS Executive Committee reminded that Ukraine has a right (envisaged by Article 19 of the Agreement) to address CIS Economic Court or to submit the issue for considering of experts of countries-participants of the Agreement.
