Yield of Peaches Is 3 Times Greater in Ukraine This Year
OREANDA-NEWS. August 23, 2013. Ukrainian farmers are plucking peaches. Despite the April’s snowfall the yield is three times greater than last year. So supply has formed the corresponding price; it is UAH 5 per kilo in high season and UAH 12 now.
Peaches are grown on seven hectares in Ukraine. Preferably, in the Crimea, Kherson and Odessa region. In spite of arrears are much larger and the climate is favorable in the southern neighbors. Thus Ukrainian gardeners feel much more difficult in the race for consumers.
However the Ukrainians support domestic producers. Foremost Ukrainian peach is cheaper, and its taste is not worse than imported one. Ukrainian peaches are better than imported. Consumers assure on this. They say domestic fruits are on sale without advertising.
The state constructs cold room to store these products.
