Group Customers of BOC Global Cash Management See 130%-plus Increase

In recent years, by relying on its worldwide service network, efficient business processes and advanced technology, BOC has been providing its group customers with comprehensive and one stop cash management services. In the first half of 2013, the group customers of BOC Global Cash Management increased by over 130% in comparison with the the first half of 2012. The system function was upgraded simultaneously both at home and abroad, and the brand image of "Boundless World - BOC Global Cash Management" has been enhanced continuously.
Strengthen product diversification to provide comprehensive cash management services
With the goal to serve the real economy, BOC global cash management business has been striving to transform into a diversified, comprehensive and all-round product service system. By the end of June 2013, over 6,600 BOC outlets had been providing the global cash management services for a variety of sectors such as telecommunications, manufacturing, energy, light industry, shipping and retailing.
To support the diversified development of enterprises, BOC has combined the supply chain finance with the cash management products to offer customers all-round solutions; integrating fund management with trade financing, serving upstream and downstream enterprises in the whole industry chain while focusing on the core enterprises. Furthermore BOC also provides single-account fund classification and management services for administrative institutions such as financial departments, hospitals, schools and social security departments. As of June 2013, the above services had been available for 57% of local financial departments, thereby creating a harmonious strategic partnership with mutually benefitial results between the bank and the enterprises as well as between the bank and the government.
Give full play to its domestic and overseas resources to lead the cross-border cash management business
With over 600 overseas institutions and extensive global network of correspondent banks, BOC is the most internationalized Chinese-funded commercial bank. Adhering to the principle of simultaneous development of the domestic and overseas market, the BOC global cash management business serves as a bridge to facilitate the business of the Chinese enterprises "going global" and foreign enterprises investing in China. By the end of June 2013, the customers of the cross-border cash management business have seen a new increase of over 477% from last year. By now, BOC Global Cash Management is available in Hong Kong, Macau, and 29 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, Africa and North America.
In addition, BOC has been keeping innovating in the business mode of cross-border cash management and has become a partner of pilot enterprises that are entitled to the centralized operation and management of foreign exchange funds for headquarters of multinational corporations. By the end of June 2013, it has gained the qualification to be the major partner of 18 pilot enterprises, ranking first among its counterparts in terms of the market share. Relying on its traditional advantages in international settlement, BOC is endeavoring to innovate and popularize the mode of managing the cross-border fund of export revenue and help enterprises to realize prompt collection of overseas funds; by utilizing the global cash management platform, so as to provide customers with efficient, rapid and convenient cross-border cash management services.
Accelerate technological innovation to present an outstanding global cash management platform
BOC, by tracking the market trends and showing a keen insight into the customer demands, keeps optimizing and upgrading its global cash management platform, by producing at least two editions per year, to offer global cash management services in different time zones, handled in various currencies and languages, and involving different businesses. In February 2013, BOC global cash management platform was granted the second prize of "2012 Banking Technology Development Award" by the People's Bank of China, taking a leading position in China.
With the continuous deepening of globalization, the SWIFT system providing a direct link between the bank and enterprises has been widely used among multinational corporations. Based on the counter services and such self-service channels as online banking and bank-enterprise direct link system, BOC has developed the SWIFT direct-link system to provide multinational corporations with a new channel of cash management service that features "accessing at one point to get global response", facilitating the efficient operation of global funds.
In the first half of 2013, BOC managed to enhance the market influence of the BOC global cash management brand with the theme of "Boundless World", winning many awards including the "Best Cash Manager" (Trade Finance), "Best Domestic Cash Manager in China in 2012" (Euromoney), and "Asian Banker Achievement Award for Best Cash Management Bank in Hong Kong" (The Asian Banker).
