Program to Reduce Electricity Losses in MOESK Is Met 211%
OREANDA-NEWS. August 21, 2013. To reduce and prevent losses in the process of electricity transmission via the grids of JSC "MOSK", a special program was developed. It stipulates a range of organizational and technical measures, including compilation and analysis of energy balance, organization of reliable meters readings at power plants, substations of adjacent grid organizations, at legal entities and residential consumers’ places, conducting of raids to identify unauthorized consumption of electricity, replacement of wires at overloaded air lines (OL), translation of lines to higher voltage and others.
The effect of the arrangements in the first half of 2013 amounted to 231%. The planned reduction of losses was 73.8 million kWh; their actual decrease was 170.7 million kWh. The effect of technical measures - 263%. In fact, the use of a complex of technical measures enabled reduction in electricity losses by 19 mn kWh against the target of 7.2 mn kWh.
The actual effect of the measures to prevent losses was 38.8 mn kWh against the target of 27.3 mn kWh. This means that the program designed to prevent losses has been met 142%.
In general, the effect of implementation of the program of measures aimed at reducing and preventing losses of electricity in H1 2013 amounted to 228.5 mn kWh against the planned indicators of 108.3 mn kWh. This amount would be enough for power supply of a city like Podolsk for five months.
Generally, the program has been met 211% in the first half of the year.
