OREANDA-NEWS. Transport and logistics Association "KAZLOGISTICS" was renamed the Union of Transport of Kazakhstan "KAZLOGISTICS" (Union of transport and logistics organizations and associations). The decision was taken on July 30, 2013 at the General Meeting of the association of legal entities (ALE) "Transportation and logistics company "KAZLOGISTICS".

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Association of National Freight Forwarders of Kazakhstan and the Kazakhstan Association of Carriers and wagons/ containers N. Issingarin, Chairman of the Board of the Union of autofreighters of the RK S. Aliguzhinov, deputy chairman of the NEPK "Atameken Union" A. Mambetalin, Secretary General of the International Union of Road Carriers of the RK T. Kaplan, Director of the International Union of Road Transport I.Yanson, president of the Association of Entrepreneurs of maritime transport A. Andryushchenko, Executive Director of the Association of Entrepreneurs of maritime transport N. Yudin, president of the Association of highways Kazakhstan P. Davydenko, president of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan temir zholy"A. Mamin, Vice-Minister of Transport and Communications R. Sklar, heads and representatives of national companies, subsidiaries of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan temir zholy", transport, freight forwarding and logistics companies, research institutes and colleges.
 
As it is known on the 25th plenary meeting of the Council of Foreign Investors Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has announced the launch of the project "New Silk Road", "Kazakhstan should revive its historic role and become a major business hub in the transit of Central Asian region as a bridge between Europe and Asia ... It is the creation in key transport corridors of Kazakhstan a single set of international hubs. "President Nursultan Nazarbayev described the development of transport logistics of one of the greatest challenges facing the economy of Kazakhstan. To solve these problems the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has instructed the National Company "Kazakhstan temir zholy", defining its logistics operator.
 
The General Meeting of Transport and Logistics Association "KAZLOGISTICS" agreed to elect the President of the Union of Askar Mamin - President of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan temir zholy". Vice-President of the Union of Transport of Kazakhstan was elected Yuri Lavrynenko.
 
In July 2013 a law "On the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs" was accepted.  According to this law the role of the public organizations is expanded. In this regard, there is a need to increase not only the status of a public association, but also to strengthen the Presidency of the Union of transport and logistics organizations and associations "KAZLOGISTICS" (Transport Union of Kazakhstan). Thus, the Union of Transport of Kazakhstan elected the head of JSC "NC "KTZ"Askar Mamin as the President of the Union of Transport of Kazakhstan and has entrusted him to lead the sector public association.
 
With the upgrading of the Union of Transport of Kazakhstan "KAZLOGISTICS" there is a need to strengthen the Executive Body. Bureau of Transport Workers Union of Kazakhstan "KAZLOGISTICS" decided to appoint to the position of General Director - Member of the Presidium Yerkhat Iskaliev.
 
As a result of the reorganization of the Union of Transport of Kazakhstan "KAZLOGISTICS" public transport will be a single union that will unite all the associations and research institutes and consolidated by promoting and protecting the interests of transport that will enable the industry to compete more effectively for global transit, created to integrate into the EEA and perspective will help country's accession to the WTO, as well as give impetus to the rapid development of synergy and efficiency of all modes of transport (multimodal) - air, sea and river, road and rail with current global trends.
