OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2013. The Working Group at the Expert Council of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) on developing competition on the market of production and sale of ethylene, alcohol and alcohol-containing products had a meeting.

Members of the Working Group discussed the proposals put forward by the “Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers” Self-Regulated Association for introducing amendments to the Federal Law “On State Regulation of the Alcohol Market” (No. 171-FZ) in the part of improving regulation of retail sale of alcohol products in public catering services. Experts proposed to change the principles of regulating sales of alcohol products by public catering enterprises. In particular, the WG participants emphasized importance of separating licensing of retail trading with alcohol products and licensing sales of alcohol products in public catering services.

Summing up the discussion, the experts decided to forward the Working Group materials to the Government of the Russian Federation and the Federal Service for Regulating Alcohol Market, proposing to make changes to the Federal Law “On State Regulation of the Alcohol Market”.
