China Crude Oil Imports Up 19,6% in July
OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2013. China, the world's second largest oil consumer after the U.S., imported 26.11 million metric tons of crude oil in Jul this year, 19.6% more than in the same month of last year, according to the latest figures from China's General Administration of Customs.
The crude oil imports last month were 17.78% more than the 22.17 million metric tons in Jun.
The average import price of crude oil was USD743.2 per metric ton last month, up 2% year on year.
The country saw its imports of oil products reach 3.25 million metric tons in Jul.
In the first seven months of this year, the country's imports of crude oil totaled 164 million metric tons, up 1.4% year on year.
