CDB to Support Upgrading of Beijing Rural Collective Construction Land
OREANDA-NEWS. August 16, 2013. The reporters learned from China Development Bank (CDB) that recently CDB Beijing Branch and the Beijing Daxing Sub-branch of Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) issued a loan of 300 million yuan to the phase-one pilot project of revamping the urban-rural fringes in the Nanjie area of Jiugong Township in Beijing's Daxing District, to support the upgrading of the rural collective construction land in the urban-rural fringes of Beijing.
Jiugong Township in Beijing's Daxing District is a typical urban-rural fringe. Due to historical reasons, there have formed several industrial compounds on the rural collective construction land, making the area known for floating populations, low-end industries, security hazards as well as its poor infrastructure, environmental sanitation, and law and order situation. It is an inescapable issue in the new development phase in the capital.
To improve the ecological and social environment in the capital, the Beijing municipal party committee and the municipal government have established the upgrading goals of "industrial upgrading, farmers' employment, population control, and environmental improvement", and set up a reform model that is led by the government and conducted by farmers with rural collective land holding, township-level coordination, and collective-run affiliated companies.
It has been learned that the Nanjie area project of Jiugong Township in Daxing District is a pilot upgrading project in rural collective construction land reform decided upon by the Beijing Municipal Government, which can lead to the vacation of collective construction land of 78.27 hectares. The success of the project will be of important significance for promoting upgrading of rural collective construction land.
