OREANDA-NEWS. UTair Aviation took part in a regular workshop on agency sales business development held by the Transport Clearing House on August 1, 2013 in Irkutsk. UTair Airline representatives presented a report on the major challenges and peculiarities related to the M2 project, a multilateral agreement on managing connecting flight procedures through Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow. UTair Aviation representatives told workshop participants about the process of providing refund payments to passengers in the event of constrained flight cancellation, handling of luggage between connecting flights and flight delay protocol. UTair speakers also described interline agreements, voluntary commercial agreements between individual airlines to handle passengers traveling on itineraries that require multiple airlines, and cited as an example an interline agreement between UTair and Lufthansa. The UTair presentation finished with a description of intermodal transportation involving multiple modes of transportation, for example, air and rail, and illustrated this with the joint work performed by UTair and Deutsche Bahn Vertrieb.
