According to the agency, in January-June 2013 compared with the same period of the last year, gas consumption in the country has decreased by 5% - up to 548 million cubic meters and by 3.3% - up to 3 billion 351,4 million lei in value terms.

At the same time, in I half of 2013 population has reduced the volume of gas consumption by 8.5% - up to 166.8 million cubic meters, energy sector enterprises- by 5.5% - up to 245.5 million cubic meters and public institutions - by 7.9% - up to 29.8 million cubic meters.

At the same time, economic agents which do not operate in the energy sector, increased gas consumption by 3.6% - up to 105.8 million cubic meters.
