OREANDA-NEWS. August 08, 2013. According to the National Energy Regulatory Agency, in January-June, 2013 import of petrol fell by 1.5% to 71.86 thousand tons; diesel import increased by 8% to 166.48 thousand tons; and import of liquefied gas grew by 1.5% to 34.3 thousand tons.

 There were 116 operators in the fuel market of Moldova in I half of 2013, whereof 186 of them had the licenses. In particular, 22 companies had the import and wholesale trade licenses for petrol and diesel fuel and 11 companies had it for liquefied gas. 86 licenses holders were selling petrol and fuel gas in retail at 698 filling stations and 67 licenses holders were selling liquefied gas in retail at 391 filling stations.

ANRE reports that 3 companies had the licence on all types of activity in I half of 2013 and these were LUKoil-Moldova, Petrom Moldova и Rompetrol Moldova.
