Ukraine to Simplify Logistics and Reduce Costs on Grain Market
OREANDA-NEWS. August 08, 2013. We must create the most comfortable conditions to handle this year’s high yield timely. This was stressed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“Today as newer before proverbial wisdom is up to the minute: "Many words will not fill a bushel," PM said. - There are topical issues: transportation, storage and export of grain. Here we must minimize the costs to market participants and to remove any obstacles and delays. It is very hard work to handle such a high yield, and here maximum coordination and processes simplicity are important.”
Prime Minister urges to abolish difficult procedures of receiving various certificates and permits.
“The Ministry of Incomes and Fees initiated such procedure for issuing a manufacturer’s certificate, which requires numerous certificates and approvals. This is absolutely unnecessary obstacle,” Mykola Azarov said. He added there were other troubles in the logistical chain. They must be immediately removed.
“The Government has created an interagency commission, which expeditiously considers how to simplify grain transportation. I authorize the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, which coordinates the activities of the Commission, together with the Ministry of Incomes and Fees, the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food within a week to develop and submit to the Government a comprehensive mechanism to simplify logistics and reduce costs at the grain market,’ PM tasked.
