OREANDA-NEWS.  August 08, 2013. The Government will continue prudent, balanced budget policy next year. This was started by Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov at the Cabinet meeting discussing the draft state budget for 2014.

“We will continue prudent, balanced budget policy next year. And social initiatives of the President, the National Action Plan and the State Program of Economic Revitalization for 2013-2014 are aimed to this,” Mykola Azarov said.

He ordered the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the National Bank to give reasonable, reliable macroeconomic forecasts.

According to Mykola Azarov, given that the prospects for the world economy development in 2014 are again uncertain, it is necessary to protect the domestic economy from external influences at most.

“The main factor of growth should be expanding domestic demand by implementing the State Program of Economic Revitalization and salary, pensions and other social standards increase. The President urges on this,” the PM stressed.
