On July 25, Port Service Office of Chongqing Municipality, China Eastern, and Chongqing Airport Group signed relevant air traffic agreements.

Chongqingers can transfer to other cities in the US conveniently and quickly through Los Angeles's advanced air route network.

Chongqing - Los Angeles air route will be operated by China Eastern. An official from China Eastern introduced that this route will employ Model A340-600, and there will be 3 fights per week with a flying duration of about 17 hours. There is one flight from Chongqing to LA on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and one flight from LA back to Chongqing on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The specific schedule is: 9:00 am depart from Chongqing, stop in Shanghai and take off at 13:00, arrive in LA at local time 10 am; on return, depart from LA at local time 12:30, and arrive in Chongqing at 22:00.

The official from China Eastern did not disclose the ticket prices yet, but he said that in the initial days of the opening, Chongqing will enjoy the specific preferential policies.
