This was announced by the minister of agriculture and food industry at the press conference, noting that the price of bread depends not only on the cost of wheat, but also on the cost of energy and other factors. He also added that the cost of wheat makes only 30% in formation of the bread price.  

"Therefore we shouldn’t expect that the decline in the wheat price will automatically lead to the decrease in the price of bread," - said the head of the Ministry. He noted that due to the good wheat harvest not only in Moldova, but in the whole region, the cost of grain will be reduced. Bumacov reminded that the last year, when the harvest was low because of the drought, great efforts to prevent the increase in bread prices in the country were made.

The Minister said that to this end, many companies like “Franzeluta undertook utmost efforts to save situation. According to Vasile Bumacov, last year some regions of the country increased the bread prices and it is possible that this year they will reduce costs taking into account the decline in wheat prices.
