OREANDA-NEWS. August 07, 2013. International business and finance magazine Global Finance named SEB Internetbank as the best Internet bank in Latvia in 2013 in both consumer and corporate segments. This is the 14th year Global Finance has carried out the study the "World's Best Internet Banks in Central & Eastern Europe" by granting awards in every country of the region.

The Member of the Board of SEB banka Ieva Tetere: "Each year, SEB banka works intensively on improving and developing its Internetbank; therefore, the award we have received from Global Finance is  proof that the contribution to modernisation of the Internetbank has been valued by our customers and experts. During the last year we introduced several innovations therefore customer finance transactions have become safer, easier and more accessible also on mobile telephones. The assessment criteria included using social networks as well – Facebook, Twitter and draugiem.lv – in daily business communication, as these communication channels are an integral part of the bank's daily communication with its customers.

In order to ensure safe authorisation while logging on to the Internetbank, in the spring of 2013 SEB banka introduced a code generating calculator Digipass Nano, and, for easier use of the Internetbank, since the autumn of 2012 it has offered Baltic Online – the possibility to operate with accounts of several companies in one Internet bank. In the Internetbank of SEB banka it is possible to apply for an e-signature, and in case the Internetbank password is lost, it is no longer necessary for the customer to go to any of the customer services centres, as the new password is sent to the customer's indicated e-mail.
