Rustem Khamitov Visits New Unit of Gazprom Neftekhim
OREANDA-NEWS. August 07, 2013. The head of the Republic visited a production site of a crude oil distillation unit ELOU AVT-6 in the course of his visit to Salavat. Rustem Khamitov inquired about the specifics of the new facility commissioning, unit process flow parameters, product yields, and industrial safety measures.
The crude oil distillation unit with a capacity of 6 mta was put into operation at the Company’s refinery in 2012. It is designed for primary crude oil processing to produce gasoline, kerosene and diesel oil cuts, light and heavy vacuum gas oil, vacuum residue as well as liquefied petroleum gas.
The process technology makes it possible to manufacture products with minimum losses of feedstock, materials and energy resources and reach the new level of ecological compliance.
The commissioning of ELOU AVT-6 unit is the first step to the establishing of a dark-oil product high conversion complex of the Company. The recovery of vacuum gas oil with higher end boiling point at ELOU AVT-6 unit and the completion of an FCC cracker construction in 2016, as part of the complex, will enable Gazprom neftekhim Salavat to increase its oil conversion ratio significantly.
Background information: Gazprom neftekhim Salavat is a major oil refining and petrochemical company in Russia. It realizes the complete cycle of hydrocarbon feedstock processing.The product range includes motor gasolines, gas oil, kerosene and other oil products, liquefied gases, butyl alcohols, plasticizers, polyethylene, polystyrene, ammonia, urea, and etc. It is the country’s largest exporter. The company revamps the existing production facilities and constructs the new ones, implements automated process control systems and perfects the management structure to optimize the Company’s activities.
