OREANDA-NEWS. Further to the announcement published on Tadawul's website on 30-04-2013 related to the experimental operation of its affiliate Sahara & Maaden Petrochemicals Company (SAMAPCO) Sahara Petrochemical Co. announces that (SAMAPCO) has started its trial startup operation. Required performance tests will be conducted during the coming four to six months. The financial effect on the financial statement will start after declaration of the commercial operation.

 It is worth mentioning that the plant capacity is 250,000 TPA of concentrated caustic soda and 300,000 TPA of EDC. Sahara and Maaden hold 50% of the projects equity for each. The plant shall utilize UHDEs technology of Germany, the plant created more than 200 direct and indirect job opportunities, Sahara & Maaden Petrochemicals Company (SAMAPCO) is located in Jubail Industrial City.
