OREANDA-NEWS. August 05, 2013. Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov has visited the construction site of the research and innovation complex "National Biotechnology Center". Minister of Education and Science B.Zhumagulov and CEO of the center K.Momynaliyev told about the progress of construction of the facility.

Construction of the National Center for Biotechnology is conducted at the instruction of the President.

"This is a unique scientific complex, where the best scientists of the country will work. It is necessary to create a good environment for them to live and work, so you need to exercise strict control over the quality of construction," Akhmetov emphasized.

The complex consists of five separate buildings with a total area of 29,400 square meters, including administrative and laboratory blocks, a vivarium, a power unit, as well as a dormitory for employees.

At the end of his visit Serik Akhmetov gave instructions to the heads of the state bodies.
