OREANDA-NEWS. August 05, 2013. The First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov has met with representatives of the German business while his working trip to the Federal Republic of Germany. The sides discussed problems of German businessmen in Ukraine and prospects for future cooperation.

Serhiy Arbuzov said that Germany is one of the leading economic partners of Ukraine, the second partner among foreign investors with a total foreign direct investment of USD 6.3 billion.
"There are more than 4000 companies with German capital in Ukraine. In terms of bilateral trade with us Germany ranked third place after Russia and China. In 2012, despite a bad economic situation, we were able to keep the volume of trade at the highest level (USD 9.4 billion," he said.

Special attention was paid to energy cooperation, which is a priority for both countries.

The First vice Prime Minister announced his support for the initiative of German business to create a Ukrainian-German Foreign Trade Chamber.
