OREANDA-NEWS. August 05, 2013. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Novosibirsk region (Novosibirsk OFAS Russia) held “Capital” Ltd. (a trading network: “Universam Udachnykh Pokupok”, “Lider Ekonomii” and “Supermarket”) administratively liable and fined the company 2 million Rubles.

Having investigated the case, Novosibirsk OFAS Russia found that “Capital” Ltd. violated the Federal Law “On the Fundamental Principles of Government Regulation of Trading Activities in the Russian Federation”. The company created discriminatory conditions: three out of 20 suppliers of bread and flour products for “Capital” Ltd. were supposed to pay compensation to “Capital” Ltd. for supplying the goods. Other 17 suppliers were not charged any compensation for supplying goods to the trading network.

“Taking into account mitigating circumstances – “Capital” Ltd. partly eliminated the violation before the case was investigated and also executed the determination issued by the antimonopoly body, OFAS imposed the lowest fine upon the trading network”, explained Deputy Head of Novosibirsk OFAS Russia, Natalia Kamneva.
