OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 August 2013, a contract was signed by SIA Merks - part of the AS Merko Ehitus group - and Municipality of Liepaja for construction of the multifunctional centre “Lielais Dzintars” located at Radio st. 8, Liepaja, Latvia.

Under the contract, SIA Merks will build a 10-storey (including two underground storeys) multifunctional centre with total gross area of 16,500 m?. The building will accommodate acoustic concert hall for 1,000 spectators as well as number of other premises for various cultural events.

The contract value is EUR 28.3 million, plus value added tax. The works are scheduled for completion in July 2015.
