Yakutia OFAS Protected Veteran from Actions of Yakutskenergo
OREANDA-NEWS. August 02, 2013. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) (Yakutia OFAS Russia) found that “Yakutskenergo” OJSC abused its market dominance (in breach of Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”). The company violated the pricing procedures established by normative-legal acts.
The case was initiated upon a petition filed by a veteran of the II WW who “Yakutskenergo” OJSC wanted to charge over 180.000 Rubles for technological connection to electric power networks.
“Investigating the case, Yakutia OFAS Russia established that such actions breached the pricing procedures. Calculating the payment due by the resident, “Yakutskenergo” OJSC applied the tariff that cannot be applied to the applicants whose connected capacity is no more than 15 kW and the distance from the plot boundaries to the power supply network facilities is no longer than 300 m in urban areas or 500 m in rural areas”, commented the Head of Yakutia OFAS Russia, Yuri Ignatiev.
