Black Elk Energy Reports Second Successful Flowtest at Ship Shoal 198
OREANDA-NEWS. Black Elk Energy Offshore Operations, LLC (“Black Elk Energy”), an independent oil and gas company headquartered in Houston, announced a second successful flow test conducted on July 25, 2013 at the Ship Shoal Block 198, Well No. I-8 Sidetrack. The flow test reported an average rate of 859 barrels of oil per day at 1,700 psi flowing tubing pressure. In addition to current completion, Black Elk Energy encountered over 20 reservoirs uphole that are behind pipe for future development consideration.
