OREANDA-NEWS. July 31, 2013. Gas of 96% purity meets the requirements of State Standard and is almost unsaturated hydrocarbons-free.

Propane-propylene stream production gives more than 130 tons of propane every day. High quality of the gas is secured by propane-propylene stream (PPS) unit which produces 250,000 tons/year. After getting in the unit, PPS is divided into propylene (75%) and propane (25%). Propylene of high polymerization grade and concentration is used as main feed component in Omsk polypropylene plant’s polymerization unit.

PPS-250 includes two reactors, three columns, heat-exchanging and capacity devices. OJSC “Tambovsky plant “Komsomolets”” is a supplier of the main PPS-250 processing facilities valuing more than 100 million roubles. The unit is projected with a functionality of production capacity increasing.

Propane is used as more ecological and cheap fuel compared to gasoline. This gas is also used for industrial and welfare premises warming.
