OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 July Donetsk Region State Administration hosted the signing of Memorandum of Cooperation between Mining Machines and VINACOMIN.

Mining Machines has already started construction of two vertical mine shafts at Nui Beo Mine using the equipment tailored to mining and geological conditions of the region and engaging the best mining construction specialists.

“We realize comprehensive projects from construction of mines to full service maintenance. It is not a secret that Quang Ninh region with the annual coal output of more than 40 million tonnes has good potential for mechanisation of coal production. This will help to ramp up production and improve safety of miners. We hope that our expertise in mechanisation of thin seam coal mining and processing of steeply sloping seams with the help of an unrivalled plough system as well as our long-term cooperation with the leading design institutes will serve as a good basis for implementation of ambitious plans of our Vietnamese colleagues,” underlined CEO of Mining Machines Yevgeniy Romashchin.

Within the next four years VINACOMIN is going to double coal production to 75 million tonnes per year. First of all, the company is going to increase underground production in Quang Ninh province which produces about 90% of the total volume of coal in the country.
