OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2013. Retail marketing divisions of JSC TATNEFT will spend part of the funds received from the sale of motor fuel for forest restoration in 2013. Such a decision has been made as part of the activities in supporting the Year of Environmental Conservation announced by President Vladimir Putin. Each customer who fuels the car at the TATNEFT's filling stations may contribute to this good cause.

Planting materials are acquired from forestry divisions and specialized forest nurseries. The representatives of the TATNEFT's filling stations planted seedlings of different species of fir and pine trees covering the area of 240 hectares in the spring of the current year.

The plans provide for planting the forest at 127 hectares in the autumn of this year, when ash and oak trees will be planted in addition to conifers. In total the TATNEFT's filling stations chain will plant more than 808,000 new trees this year.
