OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2013. Qatar Petroleum’s Industrial Cities Directorate recently celebrated the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan by organizing a Ghabga event at the Katara Cultural Village in Doha.

The event was attended by Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Muftah, Director of Industrial Cities, as well as by officials and employees from both Ras Laffan and Mesaieed industrial cities.

Set between the Iftar and Suhoor, which are usually taken with the family, the Ghabga is a local tradition in the Gulf, and it constitutes one of the Ramadan meals. This tradition brings people together and provides an opportunity for socializing and communal celebration of the holy month.

Following this custom is part of the ongoing efforts of the Industrial Cities Directorate towards improving and strengthening bonds among all staff members at and beyond the workplace.

The program of the event, which was held at Katara Hall, included a brief welcome ceremony, a group photo and a dinner.
