OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2013. H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry, along with H.E. Mr. Ahmad bin Amer Al-Humaidi, Minister of Environment, attended the annual Iftar held by Qatar Petroleum’s Dukhan Operations at the Dukhan Recreation Club.

The event was hosted by Mr. Ahmad Saif Al-Sulaiti, Operations Manager - Dukhan Fields, and it was also attended by many senior QP officials including Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, QP Board Member and Director of Oil & Gas Ventures, and Mr. Said Mubarak Al-Muhannadi, Director of Operations.

Also present at the event were other QP directors and department managers, division heads and dignitaries from Doha and Dukhan. The guests were treated to many traditional activities during the evening, including the firing of the Iftar cannon.

After the Iftar, H.E. Dr. Al-Sada and the guests toured an exhibition of Islamic Art Calligraphy drawings and a honey exhibition, which was the inspiration behind the annual Iftar organized by Dukhan Operations’ Integrated Facilities Management Department.

The event concluded with H.E. Dr. Al-Sada presenting a memento to H.E. Mr. Al-Humaidi in appreciation for his many years of dedicated service with QP. 

As part of the event, Mr. Al-Sulaiti also presented a donation cheque to Dr. Mohd Saleh Ibrahim, Executive Manager, and Mr. Ali Yousef Al-Kuwari, Public Relations Manager of the Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani’s Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF).  The donation in the amount of QR 131,520 came from Dukhan Operations’ employees in support of the RAF Foundation’s humanitarian activities and charity work.
