OREANDA-NEWS. Mitsubishi Electric Corporation announced that its sales subsidiary Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam Company Limited will establish new factory automation (FA) centers at its Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh offices to provide enhanced services to locally operating manufacturers, especially Japanese automotive and component makers, starting August 1. The Vietnam FA Centers are expected to support the ongoing expansion of Mitsubishi Electric's FA business in Vietnam.

Services will include technical consultation, training and support for FA products, including programmable logic controllers, human machine interfaces, inverters, servos and numerical control machining. System proposals and engineering education also will be provided. Support will be available in Vietnamese, English and Japanese for assured customer satisfaction.

Vietnam's emerging economy is expected to achieve robust economic growth supported by a large population and high-quality labor force. Major Japanese manufacturers, particularly in the automotive, electrical and electronic fields, are quickly setting up operations here, which is raising the demand for FA products and related service support.

Previously, FA product service was supported both by the ASEAN FA Center in Singapore and local distributors in Vietnam. The establishment of two facilities directly in Vietnam is expected to realize significantly strengthened FA product service throughout the country.
