ENEL OGK-5 Announced New Board Chairman
OREANDA-NEWS. During its July 25th meeting, the Board of Directors (BoD) of Enel OGK-5 appointed Mr Stephane Zweguintzow as its new Chairman. Mr Zweguintzow joined Enel OGK-5 BoD upon appointment at the General Shareholders’ Meeting held on June 19th, 2013. Prior to that, he used to head the Business Development Department of Enel in France, a position he has held for three years. Mr Zweguintzow has been working for Enel for more than 13 years, significantly contributing to the Group’s growth in Russia. Specifically, he headed the Enel Moscow Office since its creation in 2000 until late 2007. Between 2007 and 2008, Mr Zweguintzow sat in Enel OGK-5 BoD for the first time. Further on, from 2008 until 2010 he headed the Russian Gas Department of Enel’s Upstream Gas Division. During his time with Enel, Mr. Zweguintzow helped the company achieve several milestones in Russia, such as signing the management contract for the North-West Thermal Power Plant in St. Petersburg as well as the acquisition of OGK-5 (later “Enel OGK-5”), Rusenergosbyt, and Severenergia. A French national, born in 1968, Mr. Zweguintzow has a degree in Political Science from Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris and a Master in international business from Paris University He is a native speaker of French and Russian, fluent in English and Italian and has a working knowledge of German.
