OREANDA-NEWS. Zhukovsky.-Military-transport modernized aircraft Il-76MD-90A, produced at ZAO "Aviastar-SP", made his third flight according to the Russian Federation Department of Defense state united tests (ГСИ) program. The first flight was made on the 10th of July at the aerodrome ЛИИ named after Gromov (Jhukovsky city).

After finishing the first period of ГСИ in November of the current year, the Russian Federation Department of Defense is to state the act with a preliminary conclusion about test aircraft batch production, that gives right to fulfill this aircraft modification turnout. The first period ГСИ program consists of 2 stages: the first stage is finishing, the second stage is evaluating.

State tests will be performed together with ГЛИЦ named after Chkalov V.I. and ОАО "Il" crews.

ГСИ program first period includes aircraft functionality complex testing, systems and equipment evaluation: integrated flight and navigation system, automatic control systems, state identification transponder, radio communication equipment etc.

TRANSPORT AIRCRAFT Il-76MD-90A

Greatly modernized Il-76MD-90A aircraft version, that was previously produced at the Tashkent aviation-production corporation named after Chkalov.

The first demonstration flight was performed on the 4th of October 2012 in the presence of the Russian Federation president Vladimir Putin. That day the contract for aircraft lot delivery for the Department of Defense was signed.

The new flight and navigation system, automatic control system, communication system and the "glass" cabin meet all modern requirements to aircraft avionics and considerably increase flight safety, pilotage and landing precision. Authorized engines Д-30КП2 replacement for more modern ПС-90А-76, modernized wing and beefed-up gear installation greatly extends aircraft operational functionality.

At the present moment first three production Il-76MD-90A aircraft are being manufactured, that are planned to be delivered in the year 2014-2015.
