OREANDA-NEWS. The entities of KSG Agro Holding collected 120,2 thousand tons of spring crops, which is 2 times higher than in 2012.

It was harvested 32,4 thousand tons of rape seed, 65,8 thousand tons of wheat, 18,8 thousand tons of barley and 3,2 thousand tons – other crops.

2013 yields by cultures are higher than last year: rape seed – 51% higher, wheat – 28% higher, barley – 75%.

Best wheat yields were reached in KSG AGRO entities in Kharkiv region – up to 4,8 tons per hectare. In Dniepropetrovsk region the best result among KSG AGRO entities is 4 tons/ha.

The best barley yields were reached in KSG AGRO entities in Dniepropetrovsk region – up to 4 t/ha.

Most significant results for rapeseed were reached in KSG AGRO entities in Dniepropetrovsk region – up to 2,9 t/ha. In Crimea – up to 2,8 t/ha, in Kharkiv region – 2,5 t/ha.

It is necessary to note that rapeseed yields match with the planned ones, but at the same time wheat yields match in Dniepropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions and are lower than was planned – in Crimea. Lesser wheat and barley yields in Crimea are connected with the fact that

Crimea was affected by the very warm and hot cyclone in June and the weight of the seeds became lower than normal. Besides – part of the plants was killed by high temperatures.

To prevent the drought risks Holding expands the volume of the irrigated lands under its control. In the current year the project of the enlargement of the irrigated farming was successfully introduced and implanted by KSG AGRO. Equipment for irrigation of 1 500 hectares was bought and launched.

From them
 - 1 400 ha – drip irrigation systems from Netafim (Israel), (1 100 ha in Crimea and 300 ha in Dniepropetrovsk region)
 - 100 ha – raining irrigation machinery from Western Irrigation in Dniepropetrovsk region.

The irrigated lands are sawn with corn in this year.
 Besides, in 2013 KSG AGRO started to take part in IFC program for harvest growing potential. This program implements satellite monitoring of the fields, specialists education and business processes
