RZD Trains Young Specialists from Austrian Federal Railways
OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2013. Russian Railways is currently training young managers and specialists from OBB (Austrian Federal Railways) at the Company's facilities in Russia. The internships taking place in accordance with the Memorandum On Joint Action To Develop Human Resources signed by Vladimir Yakunin, President of Russian Railways, and Christian Kern, OBB's Managing Director, on 5 September 2012 in the Austrian capital Vienna.
OBB's young professionals are exchanging experience in Moscow and the Moscow Region, where they are visiting advanced railway transport facilities and meeting representatives of the Russian Railways' management team, as well as viewing the key branches and units which ensure the Company's reliable and efficient operation across the Eurasian space.
Besides the Russian capital, our Austrian colleagues will also be visiting the facilities at Gorky and October Railways. In Kazan, the training programme will include a visit to the transport infrastructure of the 2013 Summer Universiade and the children's railway, while in St. Petersburg, our guests will become more thoroughly acquainted with the organisation of Russia's railway stations and cross-border cooperation and learn about the specifics of traffic management on Russian Railways.
Young managers and specialists from Russian Railways are due to make a return visit to OBB's facilities in October 2013.
