OREANDA-NEWS. Viktor Yanukovych, president of Ukraine, gave Metinvest CEO Igor Syry and Northern Iron Ore Enrichment Works General Director Andrey Levitsky each the honorary title of “Honored Employee of Ukrainian Industry.” This title was awarded for significant personal contributions to the development of the Ukrainian metals and mining sector, many years of dedicated work and high professionalism.

The President of Ukraine signed the order about the awards on 19 July 2013 on Metals and Mining Workers’ Day. In addition to the awards for the top managers, various awards and titles were bestowed on 20 other employees of the Group’s enterprises. The honorary title “Honorary Steel Maker of Ukraine” was awarded to Yenakiieve Iron and Steel Works Production Director Sergey Belichenko, Azovstal Shop Manager Maksim Korotkikh, Zaporizhstal Deputy Shop Manager Andrey Kazmin, Zaporizhstal Casting Shop Caster Oleg Kucherenko and Zaporizhstal Rollerman Aleksandr Sklyar.

“For Service” Order II Degree awards were given to Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol Deputy Chief Engineer and Shop Manager Aleksandr Larionov and Zaporizhstal Rollerman Aleksandr Simonenko.

“For Service” Order III Degree awards were given to Azovstal Production Director Sergey Azarov, Avdiivka Coke Plant Deputy Shop Manager Vladimir Borzenko, Azovstal Furnace Helper Section Worker Valentin Matveychuk, Zaporizhstal Sinter Maker Nikolai Moskovkin, Zaporizhstal Cutter Andrei Salyakin, Azovstal Rollerman Vladimir Simonov and Zaporizhstal Chief Specialist Aleksandr Fomenko.

“Labour and Valour” Medals were awarded to Avdiivka Coke Plant Maintenance Fitter Anatoliy Kostyuk, Azovstal Blast Furnace Tapper Anatolii Lyalyuk, Avdiivka Coke Plant Maintenance Fitter Valeriy Mel’nik, Azovstal Rolled Products and Pipes Smelter Viktor Rigus, Avdiivka Coke Fitter Raisa Chirina and Azovstal Proportioner Elena Yaschuk.
