OREANDA-NEWS. July 24, 2013. The 42nd WorldSkills International was successfully concluded in Leipzig of Germany.

The Chinese delegation won one silver medal, three copper medals and thirteen winning prizes. Two competitors from MCC Group won two winning prizes respectively in the welding and the architectural metals processing field.

This was the second time for MCC employees to participate the welding competition activity and the first time for the architectural metals processing operation. Under the guidance of the experts and coaches at the training base in China, Wang Chenyu and Zhuang Xueyu undertook strict training and diligent study. Though difficulties were encountered at the final stage during the competition, the two participants won the 5th place by utilizing their superb technique and remarkable skills in the welding and the architectural metals processing competition.

And they have not only achieved self=breakthrough, but also won the honor for their homeland.
This event has attracted 1,006 competitors from 53 countries/regions for 46 competing activities, of which the types were increased to be 22 ones from the 6 ones of the last WorldSkills International.

This is the second time for China to take part in this event since it was enrolled as a member of WorldSkills International in 2010, participating 17 activities for this year.
