OREANDA-NEWS. CJSC “TITANENERGOREMONT” completed repair works on Balakovskaya NPP third energy block performed within a four year contract with OJSC “Atomenergoremont.”

For the first time in the history of CJSC “TITANENERGOREMONT” all the company’s three branches - Balakovsky,Volgodonsky and Udomelsky - were working together on one site. With the total of 74 workers working ahead of the local schedule, the quality proved excellent. While planned to finish June 18, the works in fact were completed 13 days earlier, connected to electricity July 12.

The complex of works included measures essential for the energy block safety:

Pipeline installations repair - 396 items, with nominal diameter from 16 to 800 mm;

Pipeline joints repair - 208 joints (including 123 joints with compulsory radiographic inspection), with nominal diameter from 16 to 630 mm;

Fire extinguisher system repair: 34 fire mains, 51 drainage armature unit, 176.5 meters of standpipes and 3 water reservoirs, with further hydraulic tests performed in 34 divisions. On completion of the maintenance campaign on energy block 3, CJSC “TER” received a letter of gratitude and an invitation for participation in Balakovskaya NPP’s PPR-2014 from the Management of Balakovskaya NPP.

“TITAN-2” participates in Balakovskaya NPP’s maintenance campaigns within their contract with OJSC “Atomenergoremont” for 2012-2015. According to this document, the organization will also perform repair works on the Rostov, Kalinin, Novovoronezh, Kursk and Smolensk power plants.
