OREANDA-NEWS. Over Jan-June 2013 the processing segment of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), including two oil refineries and Azerikimya production association, carried out already 54.2% of manufacture of output for 2012.

The Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee (ASSC) informs that for Jan-June 2013 the growth in chemical sector production made up 6.5%.

As of 1st July 2013 the value of marketable output was estimated at AZN 109.2 million. The index reached AZN 19.79 million in March (still the best monthly index for 2013), AZN 16.4 million in May and AZN 19.6 in June.

In 2012 the figure was AZN 157.1 million against AZN 186.7 million in 2011 and AZN 196.2 million in 2010.

Commodity price of oil refining (AZN 1.048 bn) increased by 10.6% for Jan-June 2013 against Jan-June 2012. The figures totaled AZN 189.685 million (still best monthly index for 2013), AZN 182.9 million in May and AZN 180.5 million in June. Production in oil refining totaled AZN 1.978 bn in 2012 versus AZN 2.077 bn in 2011 and AZN 1.7 bn in 2010.

Over Jan-June 2013 SOCAR processing structures produced marketable output for AZN 1.158 bn against AZN 2.135 bn for 2012. In January the processing segment made products for AZN 205.446 million (still best monthly index for 2013), in May AZN 199.3 million and AZN 200. Million in June.

As of 1 July 2013 (AZN 0.7845 to the US dollar) marketable output of the SOCAR processing segment was estimated in USD 1.476 bn.
