OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2013. JSC TATNEFT continues to actively apply innovative engineering developments to ensure the efficient oil fields operation. One of them is a dual injection method. The dual injection technology is today applied in operating 489 injection wells.

The technology of dual injection was implemented in 75 injection wells of the Company during six months of 2013. The additional production by the influenced producing wells totaled 979.5 thousand tons.

The Company is implementing a program to protect the production casing in order to protect the downhole equipment from the effects of high pressure and corrosion damage. In the frame of the program there were M1-X packers installed in 242 injection wells during the first half of this year.

Highly reliable M1-X packers are introduced complete with corrosion resistant tubing and anti-corrosion liquid injection, which allows for even more efficient wells production casing protection from the high pressure and corrosion impact. Since the beginning of the program realization M1-X packers have been employed in 3,754 injection wells at TATNEFT.
